Greece remains a prime destination for filmmakers and TV producers, offering an attractive 40% cash rebate on eligible production costs under the CRGR-FTV scheme.
Investment projects for audiovisual works, which qualify for funding under the CRGR-FTV scheme, are supported through a 40% return of the value of the eligible production costs implemented within the Greek territory and not exceeding eighty percent (80%) of the total production cost for the entirety of the audiovisual production work.
Maximum Subsidy
The total cash rebate is disbursed in a single installment and can reach up to €8 million per project.
Eligible projects and Minimum investment amounts per type of audiovisual production
✅ Cinema & TV films with fictional content: 200,000 euro
✅ Creative documentaries: 60,000 euro
✅ Short films: 45,000 euro
✅ Television mini-series up to sixteen (16) episodes in length with fictional content: 120,000 euro per episode produced for their first two (2) seasons
✅ Television series with fictional content which are not mini-series: 35,000 euro per episode produced for their first two (2) seasons. A maximum of one hundred and fifty (150) episodes qualify for the first season. The second season of the qualifying series may include up to twenty-five (25%) percent more episodes than the approved episodes of the first season.

- Companies that have been established or have a branch in the Greek territory
- International producers of audiovisual works who have signed a contract with a company established or with a branch in Greece
Eligible expenses
Eligible costs are these costs that are incurred in Greece and do not exceed 80% of the total production cost of the audiovisual project (eligible costs production).
- Expenses for rights, such as script, music investment
- Expenses for any kind of provision of services directly related to the production of audiovisual project, such as accommodation and food, transportation, equipment rental, studio, editing-mixing and after production services
- Wage costs of jobs for the implementation of the investment plan
- Costs of material supply
- Costs of design, production and testing of digital game software.
- Expenditures for the agreed producer fee – production executor
