The new “Research – Innovate” program offers cash grants to businesses for research and development investment projects.
The applications for the below programs have been completed.
Eligible businesses have at least one closed full (annual) management use, emphasizing small and medium enterprises and research organizations.
Foreign companies (TIN/VAT Number holders) based in a Member State of the EU, which at the time of submission do not have a branch office in Greece, can also submit applications, under the commitment before the issue of any documentation, they will establish a branch office in the region where the R&D investment will take place.
This program’s main goal is to connect research and innovation with entrepreneurship and strengthen the competitiveness, productivity, and extroversion of businesses toward international markets, to transition to quality innovative entrepreneurship and growth of domestic added value.
Funding applications should relate to research and innovation projects and can be submitted in one of the four following sub-programs:
I. Research and Development by Enterprises
Maximum aid intensity: 80%.
Eligible investment budget: up to 800.000 €.
Total budget: €60 million.
Closing date for online applications: 10 July 2024
II. Partnerships of Businesses with Research Organisations
Maximum aid intensity: 80%.
Eligible investment budget: up to 2.000.000 €.
Total budget: €180 million.
Closing date for online applications: 17 July 2024
Beneficiaries: business partnerships, research organizations
III. Utilization of Research Results
Maximum aid intensity: 60%.
Eligible investment budget: up to 2.000.000 €.
Evaluation method: based on the order in which the proposals are submitted (FIFO) and until the available budget is exhausted and no later than 27.11.2024.
Total budget: €39 million.
Beneficiaries: Small and medium enterprises (SME)
IV. Seal of Excellence
Eligible investment budget: at the limit of the budget approved by Horizon Europe
Maximum aid intensity: 70%.
Evaluation method: based on the order in which the proposals are submitted (FIFO) and until the available budget is exhausted and no later than 27.11.2024.
Total budget: €21 million.
